关于嵌入式和python
有没有人了解这方面的信息？有人实践过吗？

在没有MMU的ARM上是不是没法用Python了？
PPC上是不是没什么问题？效率如何？大概什么样的处理器能跑一个python的Application server?

以前我在wince上跑过，不过那时只有1.5.2的。后来那个pocket pc不再用了。

symbian操作系统的手机，装一个python的环境，就可以跑python程序了。我以前已经介绍过的。我的手机已经可以跑python了，现在新出的Nokina的手机，都可以跑python了。

在WinCE上跑的那python，版本很低，好像还是1.5的，现在还没有多大进展。Nokia手机上能跑的python已经是2.2版了。

昨天看到了消息，BEA的java芯片已经出来了。

　　Java语言，10年前由Sun开发，是一种软件层，它允许程序运行在不同的电脑上而无需相互兼容。据BEA公司的内部消息透露，公司将在JavaOne展会上展示虚拟设备软件JRockit在电脑硬件上直接运行的情况。相反，绝大部分的Java软件运行在诸如Windows、Linux或是Solaris等操作系统上。

　　据悉，BEA将支持英特尔的至强、IBM的Power和Sun公司的Sparc等处理器。BEA在Java服务器方向处于市场领先地位，其主要竞争来自IBM，同时，JBoss等开源公司也在奋起直追。

　　BEA并非是硬件上直接运行Java的第一个公司。最早，Sun公司就进行过尝试，但最终取消了叫PicoJava的Java处理器。现在，ARM组织已推出了可加速手机Java的芯片。

　　最近，新创公司 Azul Systems开始出售用于专业用途的服务器，价格为80万美元，它安装有定制化的芯片，可提供中央化的处理功能，执行Java指令。该公司表示，新的芯片灵活性优于其表现。同时，BEA也期望透露其虚拟化战略。
