Senior Software Engineer

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced developer who can lead teams and create innovative new products in the analytics and data space. You will lead the development team that creates the world's #1 Apple App Store analytics service. Together with the team you will build out new product features and applications using agile methodologies and open source technologies. You will work directly with the Director of Product and Director of Engineering, and will be on the front lines of coding new and exciting mobile app analytics products. You should be passionate about what you do and excited to join an entrepreneurial start-­up.

You
You should be a strong engineer with significant experience in back-­end system design, profiling and optimization (database / software design). You’ve worked at companies before at a management level and therefore know what it takes to lead, manage, mentor and train.

• 5+ years computer development experience, or less experience if exceptional skills combined with a Computer Science degree
• Good communication skills with management experience
• Great mentor to junior and mid level engineers
• Passionate about and good understanding of development methodologies such as XP, Scrum and RUP
• Strong knowledge of Linux
• Good working knowledge of at least 2 of the following topics:
  • Web development framework: Python/Django or others (ASP.NET, PHP, Ruby on Rails, etc.)
  •  DB development: Postgresql or other server database
  • Browser technologies: HTML/CSS/Javascript/jQuery

Senior QA Engineer

The Role
We are seeking an experienced QA engineer to design, implement and execute the test cases required by the App Annie platform to guarantee the highest level of quality and performance. You will be fully integrated to the development team and you will have a complete vision of the platform. Your input will be required from the feature design stage to make sure about the possible impact of a change, and in a second phase you will be responsible for defining the tests required to guarantee successful deployment. Your expertise will be global, from back-end validation and troubleshooting to front end functional testing, including data validation. In addition to ad hoc testing, your mission will be to develop a strategy to automate feature testing as part of the product lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading Quality Assurance side of the App Annie platform, including product and data
• Defining and implementing the testing methodology related to new features
• Identifying and defining of defects
• Providing tiers 1 product support using Zendesk
• Executing manual and automated test cases to ensure the quality of each feature and release (on going process)
• Providing feedback to the development and product team
• Ensuring the work is carried out in accordance with the process, schedule and requirements

You
You should be passionate about Web application, Data with an obsession for tracking problems and improving quality.

• 3-5 years of software testing or development experience, with background in QA methodologies
• Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes
• Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong experience in testing backend system manipulating large scale data

• Strong SQL skills with significant experiences (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Proven experience of testing complex user interfaces

• Experience in testing using an automated test tool such as HP’s QTP or LoadRunner is a plus
• Skilled in Linux working environment
• Experienced in data mining and data analysis is a big plus

• Passion for digital content and mobile apps is a definite plus
• Very good level of English written and spoken

Software Engineer

The Role
We’re looking for a Software Engineer having a first or an advanced experience to create innovative new products in the analytics and data space. You will participate to the development that creates the world's #1 app stores analytics service. The Software Engineer will work in collaboration with Technical Product Manager, UI/UX designers, Software Architects, Software Engineers and other members of the technical staff to define technical requirements specifications and deliver high-quality code. You should demonstrate flexibility and perseverance to ensure the team and the company succeeds, in a fast paced start-up environment.

You should be a software engineer with a proven experience in backend and/or front-end system implementation

• 2+ years software development experience

Front-End Web Developer

The Role
We are seeking a talented front-end web developer to build websites and software dashboard interfaces for App Annie. Your interfaces will be used by the top app publishers around the world. You will be integral to the team working directly with the UI / UX Designer and product and marketing teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with the UI / UX Designer on designing and executing on new features for App Annies industry-leading analytics dashboard (web)
• Being responsible for all front-end development execution across a wide range of online marketing campaigns including web, social media and email
• Working with the Creative Director to maintain consistent branding across all App Annie web interfaces

You
You should be a talented web developer with enough experience to hit the ground running. Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, extensive HTML/CSS/JavaScript development experience and will be able to get up to speed quickly.
