The Role

We are looking for an exceptional technical leader to serve as Chief Architect for App Annie’s world class App-Store data analysing products. You will lead the Infrastructure and Architecture team, who has the ownership of App Annie’s platform core components. Leveraging SOA, large and distributed data collection systems, big data storage and cloud based computing solutions, your team works closely with the product engineering teams to build the number one Mobile Analytics Platform.

Your responsibilities:

• Architecture and development of the core back end components, including but not limited to: message queue, data collection, data processing pipeline, global storage strategy, application monitoring system.
• Working closely with the technical executives leaders to understand business priorities 
• Maintain the technical roadmap
• Plan for platforms improvements with product teams and others functional groups 
• Manage constraints and facilitate the integration of core component changes
• Planning, resource allocation, meet schedule commitments
• Hiring, mentoring, managing the growth and the performance review of your members
• Federate teams around engineering best practices
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies 
• Internal and external technical communication

You

• 12+ years experience in software development
• 5+ years experience working on internet product architecture (SaaS, large website)
• 4+ years experience in architecture
• A previous experience as Scrum Master is a plus
• Extremely experienced with OO programing and design patterns 
• Experience with several RDBMS, MySQL/PostgreSQL is a big plus 
• Experience with large scale database system such as MongoDB, HBase or Cassandra
• Deep insight about performance tuning, storage optimization
• Deep insight regarding high availability, scalability and concurrency management
• Experience with AWS required
• Very good communication skill with fluent oral English
• A previous experience in an international environment is a plus
• Self driven and make-it-happen personality
